الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

I wanted to share something which has transformed my revision schedule, by the favour of Allah alone.

The problem: Low motivation to revise. If I knew I would be revising ajza I’m less confident on, it wouldn’t motivate me as I felt I didn't know it, and knew I would struggle to get through it. Those days were tough. I had lumped them all together on one day, as I was revising them in order.

A solution: As below. I pray this can help you!

Step 1 - Categorisation by order

Divide the ajza' into groups based on the order they appear in.

The goal is to complete everything you've memorised at least once a week.

You should divide them into groups depending on the number of ajza' you want to revise per day. For example, 2 ajza per day would have 2 per group, 5 ajza per day would have 5 per group, and so on.

As a hypothetical example, let's take the target of 3 ajza' a day, with the selection of ajza' 19 —30:

Group 1 19 20 21
Group 2 22 23 24
Group 3 25 26 27
Group 4 28 29 30

Step 2 - Allocation of confidence level

For each juz', allocate it a confidence level out of 3. I define confidence for myself as: being able to read 7 consecutive pages without a hesitation/mistake.

1 - very confident

2 - ok
